Nakama, the French CS:GO team, has said goodbye to its two players, Edouard “SmithZz” Dubourdeau and Paul “day0s” Niel. This came after the team failed to qualify for the BLAST Paris Major Europe RMR in February, leading to the first lineup changes after just over a month of playing together.

SmithZz was originally brought onto the team as a temporary addition to provide experience and leadership before taking on the managerial role, while Day0s was brought onto the team due to his accomplishments in the FACEIT Global Ladder. Unfortunately, these two players were not able to make the proper impact on the team.

In a statement on Twitter, day0s expressed his inability to adapt to the team’s gameplay, saying: “I was unable to adapt to the team’s gameplay that we brought in.” Nevertheless, he remained grateful for the opportunity to play with “two legends and two young men who could become legends.”

With only three players left in the starting lineup, Richard “shox” Papillon and two young players Ryan “Neityu” Aubrey and Jeremy “Kursy” Gast, the team is currently “evaluating different possibilities for the future.” As the ESL Championnat National 2023 tournaments approach, Nakama must quickly find a suitable replacement for the two players who left.

It remains to be seen how Nakama will handle these changes and whether she can succeed in the upcoming tournaments.
