Heroic secured a spot in the Group A final after taking revenge on Evil Geniuses. The last time these two teams played each other was in the opening match of the event, where the North American team won at home with a 2-1 victory over the first team in the world.

This time it started the same way as the first meeting, but even though the Danes lost their Nuke 16-9 card after a great CT from Evil Geniuses, the world number one took matters into their own hands and dominated the North American team with two straight wins on Overpass 16-2 and Mirage 16-5.

After Evil Geniuses won the first map, all five players had trouble maintaining their presence on subsequent maps. None of the EG players had a positive +/- over the last two games. Heroic, on the other hand, had to step up to keep Evil Geniuses from getting upset again. Thanks to the good play of Martin “stavn” Lund and Kasper “cadiaN” Moeller on Overpass and Mirage the Danes did not leave Evil Geniuses any chance to repeat their success in the first meeting.

In the Group A final, Heroic will face Vitality. The winner advances to the BLAST spring finals, while the loser advances to the second round of the knockout stage.
